            Bug ID: 381705
Summary: Allow use of only partial metadata with other options
                    being static
           Product: digikam
           Version: 5.6.0
          Platform: Archlinux Packages
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: BatchQueueManager-Tool-LensDistortion
          Assignee: digikam-devel at kde.org
          Reporter: darkwingbuck13 at gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

When using the Lens Distortion tool in Image Editor, you have the option to
fill in the blanks for lens and manufacturers for when Digikam can't scrape all
the proper metadata. In my case, I have a Nikon D3400 with the kit 18-55mm
lens. The problem is that Digikam doesn't recognize the D3400 model and the
camera doesn't properly record lens metadata.

Since I'm processing pictures that all come from the same camera and lens,
would it be possible to have an option added where Digikam uses metadata for
certain, reliable options (focal length, aperture, etc.) and manually set other
ones?
