Yes, I reported this mostly for reference. It actually crashes in libc as far
as I can tell. I don't think it's a bug in digiKam but the a crash like this
could also be due to improper usage in Qt.

FWIW, dbus works just fine outside of Linux ("out-of-the-box", as long as you
don't need privileged services).
