Bug ID: 362411
Summary: Selecting grouped files and renaming only acts on one
file of every group
Product: digikam
Version: 5.0.0
Platform: Debian unstable
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
Assignee: digikam-devel at kde.org
Reporter: freisim93 at gmail.com
I want to rename all pictures in a album. These pictures are grouped by file
type. To select all of them, I set the view to "ignore grouping" in the right
click menu under "Group". Then I select rename but only one file per group is
shown in the rename window. This is clearly due to grouping and not file type,
as when I ungroup these files all files appear in the renaming window. It is
also not the case, that one image per group is shown but the renaming is
applied to all images in the group. Adding these images to the batch queue
manager works as expected
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Group some images
2. Select ignore grouping to select all images
3. Press F2 or select Item/Rename...
Actual Results:
Only one image per group is shown in the renaming window and is actually
altered.
Expected Results:
All selected images appear in the renaming window (as it is already happening
when adding to batch queue manager).
