Checking the log file:
following line:
digikam(6843)/KEXIV2 KExiv2Iface::KExiv2::save: Metadata for file "001_.png"
written to file.

The file did NOT change (I checked date and contents) ... so I assume the write
maybe went wrong.

The view in album view shows the intended rotation.

(The test with a foo user will follow)
