            Bug ID: 338765
Summary: Batch Queue Manager watermark reduces file size
           Product: digikam
           Version: 4.2.0
          Platform: Fedora RPMs
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: major
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Batch Queue Manager
          Assignee: digikam-devel at kde.org
          Reporter: vikingbay at googlemail.com

When adding a watermark to a jpeg image using Batch Queue Manager and saving
the file results in a very much reduced file size. A 6.7MB original jpeg image
processed in this way ends up being saved as a 1.2MB image even with a jpeg
compression value of 100%.The process using BQM should result in an image of
about 6.2MB (which is what imagemagick and GIMP achieve).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Select a jpeg image
2.Enter BQM and select watermark
3. Select to save as a new file name
4. Run queue

Actual Results:
Original image was 6.7mb Resulting image saved is 1.2MB

Expected Results:
If the same watermark operation is done manually in edit within digikam the
resulting file size is 6.2MB.

This is 100% repeatable and effectively means the BQM is unusable for
watermarking images and maintaining quality of image.
