Marcel,

The git-annex support can be a good initiative in the future.

As you said, this can be a project with a lots of work. Do you think
this can be delegate to a student for GSoC ?

I would to know the advantage and the disadvantages for a king of
feature. Do you know if a professional photo management program use
already a similar function in closed world ?
