Unbelievable. Seems to be fine now. I kinda want to cry.

Thank you both for helping to diagnose that.

Can I perhaps suggest a better handling of this eventuality? I never would have
thought to delete this database --- didn't even know it existed. I thought
everything was in my digikam folder...
