[Digikam-devel] problems after compiling from source code

Dear Sir,
     I have two questions after I have compiled successfully from source code. first is I can't display image previews after I have import a diretory into digikam. second is I can't change language.
     thest two problems doese not appear from installed version. so I wonder whether there is some difference between installed package and compiled by my own. whehter I lost some program?
I hope you can tell me the reason.
