Bug ID: 337931
Summary: Thumbnail order does not match window order
Product: digikam
Version: 4.0.0
Platform: Kubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: Light Table
Assignee: digikam-devel at kde.org
Reporter: wendy at tymar.com
I often sort a sequence of photos into two folders (one for web upload), but
later need to compare photos from both folders in the light table for further
sorting. E.g., a typical light table sequence might get numbers 001, 003 and
005 loaded from one folder and then numbers 002, 004 and 006 from the other.
Since I upgraded (sorry I don't remember what from, but it was a version that
didn't include non-destructive editing) to 3.5.0, and again to 4.0.0, the light
table's thumbnails automatically show in numerical order - 001, 002, 003, 004,
005, 006 - but the paired windows show photos in the order loaded - 001, 003,
005, 002, 004, 006. (I'm ignoring the custom-pairing option.) It's very
disconcerting to see two different sequences, especially when clicking through
the thumbnails in order and seeing the right-hand window load photos from
somewhere else in the thumbnail sequence.
