Thanks for the reply.
I think the best solution is to avoid the scanning at all because each
eadir contains a subdirectory for each picture in the album (that is a lot
of subdirectories) and each one contains four versions (thumbnails at
different resolutions) of the original file.
Those are a lot of files that do not need metadata paring because they are
redundant anyway.
