Ok, it seems that in the current Ubuntu release, the sqlite version is 3.8.2:
http://packages.ubuntu.com/fr/trusty/libsqlite3-dev
So none of the current LTS release will work with the latest Digikam, it is a
pity ! 
As I really need Digikam to work, i will try to understand how to update
Sqlite.
