No thumbnail produced from fils with .tif extensions. These files cannot be
opened with "showfoto" although any other (windows-)picture viewer can handle
these files.

Reproducible: Always

Actual Results:  
failed to open (tiff) files

Expected Results:  
tiff files schould be opened
