Bug ID: 326408
Summary: Writing metadata is not supported for CR2
Classification: Unclassified
Product: digikam
Version: 3.3.0
Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: Metadata
Assignee: digikam-devel at kde.org
Reporter: bence at kiscsalad.hu
I configured to save metadata to RAW files.
I tried several times without success (to write to CR2 files), but it worked
for JPG.
I checked the result using exiftool, but I didn't find any update in the RAW
(CR2) file, but JPG files were updated.
I run digikam from console and I got the following output:
digikam(4116)/KEXIV2 KExiv2Iface::KExiv2::Private::printExiv2ExceptionError:
Cannot find Xmp key 'Xmp.mwg-rs.Regions/mwg-rs:RegionList[0]/mwg-rs:Name' into
image using Exiv2 (Error # 35 : No namespace info available for XMP prefix
`mwg-rs'
digikam(4116)/KEXIV2 KExiv2Iface::KExiv2::getXmpTagStringSeq: XMP String Seq (
Xmp.digiKam.TagsList ): ("Betti", "Próba")
digikam(4116)/KEXIV2 KExiv2Iface::KExiv2::setIptcKeywords:
/home/kisben/Képek/új/IMG_2590.CR2 ==> Iptc Keywords: Betti,Emberek,Próba
digikam(4116)/KEXIV2 KExiv2Iface::KExiv2::save: KExiv2::metadataWritingMode 0
digikam(4116)/KEXIV2 KExiv2Iface::KExiv2::save: Will write Metadata to file
"IMG_2590.CR2"
digikam(4116)/KEXIV2 KExiv2Iface::KExiv2::Private::saveOperations: Writing
metadata is not supported for file "IMG_2590.CR2"
digikam(4116)/KEXIV2 KExiv2Iface::KExiv2::save: Metadata for file
"IMG_2590.CR2" written to file.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Configure to save metadata to RAW files
2. Add tag, keyword
3. Apply to the selected file
4. Optionally, but the output shown at step 3:
Select Album/Write Metadata to Images
Actual Results:
Metadata is not written into RAW files.
see output in the description
Expected Results:
Save metadata into RAW (CR2) files.
I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 (KDE Development Platform 4.11.2) and digikam 3.3.0 was
intalled from ppa http://ppa.launchpad.net/kubuntu-ppa/backports/ubuntu
