            Bug ID: 314022
Summary: Implement focus peaking overlay to check/compare focus
    Classification: Unclassified
           Product: digikam
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Light Table
          Assignee: digikam-devel at kde.org
          Reporter: xstej70 at gmail.com

Focus peaking is a manual focus assist feature that shows the area of focus by
detecting contrast on edges. The Sony NEX series is well known for its good
implementation of this feature.

While checking focus on many images in light table, it would be a nice feature
if there was an overlay showing areas in focus. An example is to be found in
this discussion:
http://www.luminous-landscape.com/forum/index.php?PHPSESSID=cc48e10b2da22d51629b5ef7bd82ce2c&topic=56246.msg457442#msg457442

Quick research: The Magic Lantern firmware for Canon cameras apparently has
this feature. Looking at the sources, it is probably located in src/zebra.c
located here:
https://bitbucket.org/hudson/magic-lantern/src

Reproducible: Always
