I'm not sure yet whether the issue lies with digikam or the underlying KDE
library. I'm going to try to switch from KDE 4.8.5 to KDE 4.9.5 and see if the
problem is eliminated. Did you happen to notice how much memory digikam was
using at the time of the crash and whether your system was getting low in
general?
