digikam (2.9.0) on KDE Platform 4.8.4 (4.8.4) using Qt 4.8.2

- What I was doing when the application crashed:

Tagging >500 photos. Selecting some photos and searching for a tag using filter
box, then clearing filter box with backspace. System was a bit unresponsive, so
attempted to backspace beyond beginning of line.
