            Bug ID: 314441
Summary: Rename settings during import ignored
    Classification: Unclassified
           Product: digikam
           Version: 3.0.0
          Platform: Ubuntu Packages
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: minor
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Import
          Assignee: digikam-devel at kde.org
          Reporter: msylwester at gmail.com

I wanted to rename files during import. Digikam ignores the settings, files
keep original names.
Tried with PTP and import from SD card, both result. Ignored are both the
"change case" and custom pattern.

I'm not sure whether it's related (haven't used it before and it's more
advanced so I may be doing something wrong), but I'm also unable to use the
"Execute script for image" which I wanted to use as workaround.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the import pictures window
2. Set any rename options to anything else than keep existing filenames
3. Import
Actual Results:
Files are imported with original filenames

Expected Results:
Files are renamed

Workaround: use the mass-rename option after import. Still, not very
convenient.
Also, the rename dialog does not allow me to change the file extension - it
keeps adding the original one.

I'm not sure whether the import rename is capable of this. The main point of
renaming in my case was to change the extension to lowercase.

I use the digikam from Kubuntu beta PPA, version package version:
4:3.0.0~rc-really-beta3-0ubuntu3~ubuntu12.10~ppa1
