I have reported this bug at gentoo's bug-tracker, too:

Maybe it is gentoo specific and another gentoo user can reproduce this.

Installing gentoo on a different computer / VM is a lot of work, so I try to
avoid it. But if this is the last chance to identify this bug, I might go this
step, too.
