The trace do not indicate where in source code the crash appear.

1/ with macport, re-install digiKam with "+debug" keyword to build program with
debug symbol.
2/ with macport, install gdb debugger.
3/ run digiKam into gdb following these instructions :

http://www.digikam.org/contrib

Note that digiKam executable is typically installed here : 

/Applications/MacPorts/KDE4/digikam.app/Contents/MacOS/digikam

4/ when you run digiKam in GDB, reproduce the crash and report here the GDB
backtrace
