digikam (3.3.0) on KDE Platform 4.11.00 using Qt 4.8.4

- What I was doing when the application crashed:

Every time I try to scan for face detection my collection of thousand pictures
(+20k), my RAM memory is filled up quickly until it is full and then starts
with the swap bringing the system very slow. The same occurs if just playing
with assigned face tags (confirming them, removing, creating new ones...).
