digiKam SC do not use ExifTool, but Exiv2 shared library.

I don't understand exactly. Are you suer to use right Exif tags, managed by
Exiv2 ?

Accordingly with tags list supported by Exiv2 :

Exif.Canon.FileIndex is not registered... This must be reported to Exiv2
bugzilla.
