Bug ID: 307110
Severity: normal
Version: 2.9.0
Priority: NOR
Assignee: digikam-devel at kde.org
Summary: Digikam crashes when manually adding face tags, then
moving to next image
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux
Reporter: micha.magen at gmail.com
Hardware: Compiled Sources
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Component: Face Management
Product: digikam
Digikam's face detection is not very reliable, quite often the squares it
defines are not around the actual location of a face or faces are not detected
at all (especially if they aren't looking directly at the camera). Therefore,
after automatic detection runs, I have to manually go over the albums and add
tags. Every time I do this, after adding tags to some images Digikam crashes.
This does not happen during adding the tags themselves, but when I try to move
on to the next image in the album or in the "Unknown" people category. I'm
using Digikam 2.9.0 on Ubuntu 12.04. I haven't been able to generate a
backtrace so far, the only "inside information" I have is this:
*** glibc detected *** digikam: malloc.c:2876: mremap_chunk: Assertion `((size
+ offset) & (_rtld_global_ro._dl_pagesize-1)) == 0' failed.
/usr/bin/digikam: invalid fastbin entry (free): 0x0000000005d13d20 ***
Reproducible: Always
