Bug ID: 308642
Severity: normal
Version: 2.9.0
Priority: NOR
Assignee: digikam-devel at kde.org
Summary: Face detection / recognition user interface
improvements
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux
Reporter: devurandom at gmx.net
Hardware: Gentoo Packages
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Component: Face Management
Product: digikam
In digikam 2.9.0 I click the Persons tab, Scan Collections For Faces, Delete
Results And Search Again. It appears as if that has no effect at all. Digikam
tells me there is "no active process" on the lower right, but it is accessing
the disk and using the CPU, so it must be doing something.
Other UI issues I noticed:
* Digikam added a new tag under "Family". (why there?)
* This tag is empty when I look in the tags tab, but in the persons tab it
shows a bunch of faces. (why not in both?)
* Digikam shows my tag groups "Family" and "Friends", but not another one which
should also contain persons. (there appears to be no way to tell digikam which
tags contains persons - setting the icon to the person icon alone is not
enough, it seems)
Reproducible: Always
