            Bug ID: 309867
          Severity: wishlist
           Version: 2.8.0
          Priority: NOR
          Assignee: digikam-devel at kde.org
Summary: Digikam map right panel: separately lock zoom level
and map position and define default zoom level
    Classification: Unclassified
                OS: Linux
          Reporter: julien.t43+kde at gmail.com
          Hardware: Other
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
         Component: Usability
           Product: digikam

Currently, when browsing picture with geolocation tags, you can display there
position in the right panel map.
You can use the "lock" to lock zoom level and position ... It should be
possible for user to define what is the default zoom level and to separately
lock, either zoom level, either position, or both of them.

For example, when browsing photos for a trek, AFAIC, I want to see the whole
area of the trek and see where cursor moves as I go to next photo.
Currently, cursor is moved to new location and zoom level reseted to a very
zoomed view. If I lock the view and not done enough zoom out, cursor will moves
out of map and no refresh map as both zoom level and position are locked.

Reproducible: Always
