digikam (2.8.0) on KDE Platform 4.9.3 using Qt 4.8.3

- What I was doing when the application crashed:
scanning for new faces (collection creation and initialization) (in background)
removing "faces" on no faces pictures

- Custom settings of the application:
language: fr
collection on a removable hard disk
