Additional information:

When "touching" NEF-Pics, thumbnail disappears, and I get message pic is not
loadable. "Thouching" means _adding_ a (keyword-)tag _or_ _removing_ one.

Yes, I do use "write metadata in pic _and_ in XMP"

This is a super GAU (maximum credible accident <MCA>) for me.

I hope there is a solution.
