Quick Collection and Progress Center for digiKam (page 3)
Version: 2.2.0 (using KDE 4.7.2)
OS: Linux
[Attachment includes other wish as well, this wish is on page 3]
User needs to work with multiple tasks at same time with computer. And with
single application, there can be multiple tasks same time. Like importing
photos from camera/card what can take 5-10 minutes, exporting photos to online
service what can take 20-30 minutes and converting photos as batch job.
Every window or task what is in hidden somewhere else makes user a harder job
to follow what is happening.
In KMail, there is single notification list on right bottom corner. Where user
can see what accounts are being synced and downloaded.
In KDE, there is single notification widget for systray where user can see all
tasks (file copying, deleting files, downloading files etc).
With digiKam, there should be single place to locate that kind information. So
user could continue using the application while there is background job
uploading photos to online service or doing a batch job.
And when these are in one location in digiKam, they are available as well for
Windows, OS X and GNOME users who do not share the KDE Notification center.
And later digiKam could transfer these informations as separate tasks to KDE
notification center as well so user can track them globally in KDE.
Reproducible: Didn't try
Expected Results:
Find all digiKam progress in one place
