Answering your questions,

Which collection settings you use? Where are hosted your images? In local
or  remote media?
In a 2,5" HDD

Which database you use ? mysql or sqlite ?
SQLITE

seems you suffer from the same problem i did

the problem is within accessibility components, in

/usr/lib/qt4/plugins/accessiblebridge/libqspiaccessiblebridge.so

if you don't need special accessibility functions, you can simply destroy
this
plugin
which advertise itself as not working with the qtlibs version in oneiric...
