Checking database integrity:

Following a hint of Rinus, I did check and "clean" digikam4.db _and_
thumbnails-digikam.db .

Sizes Before After
digikam4.db 501,3 MB 221,3 MB
thumbnails-digikam.db 6,7 GB 6,7 GB

Both databases were checkes to be status "ok"

Repeated intensive Harddisk-drive check over hours, using GSmartControl 0.8.6 :
every specific test criteria has been proofed to be without eror/mistake.

Additional information: my recent statistic as follows:

Why is there a distinction between NIKON-NEF and RAW-NEF???

I always assumed that NEF means "Nikon Electronic Image Format", so what means
"RAW-NEF"?

If I assume, that digiKam statistics base on automated procedures, I have to
conclude, that digiKam only recognizes 364 pictures as NIKON RAW-Format (out of
36168).

Something is strange, I believe. Am I wrong?

Axel
