When reading this bug, I believe the relevant point is some kind of
integration/plugin with panotools like hugin.

Something like selecting multiple picture and ask with menu/context
menu/shortcut, "Create a Panorama with Hugin" which call hugin with the
corresponding images.

For now, it doesn't seem to exist.
