           Summary: Area white balance pipette
           Product: digikam
           Version: 1.8.0
          Platform: openSUSE RPMs
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Image Editor
        AssignedTo: digikam-devel at kde.org
        ReportedBy: romain.pub at laposte.net

Version: 1.8.0 (using KDE 4.5.5)
OS: Linux

Digikam needs to replace dot pipette by an area (size selectable) one to take
several dots into account.
Whithout this, working on noisy images is nearly impossible as each dot is far
from mean color. As a consequence, image becomes very red/green/blue according
to the dot you clicked on.

In the same time, adding a similar pipette to raw developer's white balance
would be very great !

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
Needed in particular for noisy images
