Summary: Allow easy changing photographs both in left and right
                    window pane
           Product: digikam
           Version: 2.4.0
          Platform: Ubuntu Packages
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Light Table
        AssignedTo: digikam-devel at kde.org
        ReportedBy: michal at thoma.cz

Version: 2.4.0 (using KDE 4.7.2)
OS: Linux

Rigth now it's quite easy to set the image on the right panel of Light Table
windows. Just click on the image with mouse or browsing using PageUp/PageDown.

Reproducible: Couldn't Reproduce

Steps to Reproduce:
Though the changing image in the left pane is quite difficult - options are
drag'n'drop (unresponsive), using right click context menu or click on button
bar or CTRL+L on the keyboard.

Actual Results:
These is too much hassle - when comparing a great number of photographs some
easier and more straightforward way of changing left image would be better.

Expected Results:
I think behavior can be improved with keyboard shortcuts -

-Pressing Tab to change "active" side from right pane to left pane and vice
versa. PageUP/PageDown affecting only the image on the active side (same with
assignment shortcuts). Ctrl+PageUp/Ctrl+PageDown to change image on inactive
side.

This would give user nearly total control over LightTable using keyboard, which
is very plausible.

With the mouse - clicking on the left side of thumbnail - opening image in the
left pane, clicking on the right side, opening on right. Or display overlay
icon over thumbnail to put image on left in one click.
