Not sure, I just thought it would help users and developers to avoid reports
like this. 

The idea I had was to check in cmakelist.txt for the installed version of
liblensfun and if that version is < x.y use the internal code. Each time you
update the internal code you can also change the x.y to match the current
state.

Distros that want to use external libs can still disable that check.

If you think using the external packages is better, then the current default
makes sense. Otherwise I would change the default to use the internal code and
let the distros remove the check.
