If I press rotate on the thumbnail of a photo a modal window appears with the
message that failed to rotate image, error in opening the input file

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
press rotate button on the thumbnail of a photo

Actual Results:  
fails 

Expected Results:  
should rotate the image
