Mysteriously, it has now gone back to its original behavior of showing just a
few photos.  I rebuilt all thumbnails thinking that might fix it -- it didn't. 
But it still shows a bit of oddness as the scrollbar scrolls past the end of
the photos.  I'm attaching a screenshot of that at least.
