           Summary: digiKam crashes during work
           Product: digikam
           Version: 0.10.0
          Platform: unspecified
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: digikam-devel at kde.org
        ReportedBy: software at eulennetz.de

Version: 0.10.0 (using 4.2.2 (KDE 4.2.2), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler: cc
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.28-18-generic

I work since about 2 weeks using didkam to add Metadata to my pictures (local
HDD). That worked well but now I experience sudden crashes wenn applying the
selected key word (already in key word list). CPU load goes to 100% until I
close the crash report (.. caused the signal 11 (SIGSEGV)).

When starting again it works and nothing seems to be lost but the time between
crashes gets shorter and shorter. The picture folders contain more than 16.000
pictures.

I use digiKam on Ubuntu Jaunty (Gnome environment).

If you need any further information let me know.

I guess there is another issue. I write all Metadata into the pictures but the
picture quality (1-5) seems not to be written into the Exif / IPTC data. Is
there any possibility to automatically write these values (from DB) to the
pictures? I handled already a few thousands of them and don't want to lose that
work.

Thanks a lot in advance

Helmut
