Not working, but don't know if I've done all the things needed. I'm newbie in
Linux and don't know much about installing packages. Here what I've done:
In terminal:
# apt-get purge digikam (removing, all right?)
Installing dependencies as in
http://www.digikam.org/drupal/download/KDE4?q=download/dependencies:
# sudo apt-get build-dep digikam
# sudo apt-get build-dep kipi-plugins
Then trying to install from backports:
# apt-get -t karmic-backports install digikam
It used digikam_2%3a1.0.0~beta5-1ubuntu1_i386.deb that was already downloaded
(hasn't need to download anything), I guess that should be the problem... But
don't know what to do nor what I've done is the right thing. Help?
Oh! I don't want to clean all the apt's packages stored here.
Additional information: using KDE 4.3.2 and karmic-backports is in sources.list
already.
