Summary: Length of video files is not displayed correctly when
                    playing them
           Product: digikam
           Version: 1.4.0
          Platform: Unlisted Binaries
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: digikam-devel at kde.org
        ReportedBy: simon.eu at gmail.com

Version: 1.4.0
OS: Linux

I've got some D90 video clips here. When playing them, the slider below the
video does not indicate the time correctly. E.g. for a 2 min video it moves to
the half within the first 2 seconds (!) and then moves on slower, always
jumping back a little bit again.

Kaffeine shows the same behaviour as well, by the way. melt (from MLT), which
is also used in kdenlive, does not do so.

I can upload a sample video if desired/useful, but the problem rather seems to
be the video player and not digikam.

What about switching to MLT?

Reproducible: Always

OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.34-0.slh.10-sidux-amd64
Compiler: cc
