I don't use that script... But everything so far looks ok. I got no idea whats
going wrong. I'm also using digikam on 64 bits without problems. The difference
is that I install it in the main kde prefix /usr, but in general it should be
possible to install it anywhere else.

That solid error looks unrelated to me.

What you could try to change is the order of link paths, so first
/usr/local/lib and then the old ones.
