IMHO, the right place is
http://lxr.kde.org/source/extragear/graphics/digikam/libs/dimg/dimg.cpp#571 If
a directory does not exist, it should be created.
Question: is this the right place to do so?
Second, optional there can be a warning dialog in BQM to ask for the creation
of the output directory of each image and proceed or not. But with the right
rename syntax you can put every image of a queue in its own directory and
probably create a lot of these warnings.
