I have never seen this problem with a stable digikam version. (it reminds me of
the early days of the icon view porting last year, when there were some
problems in the sort model and the categorization code)
I am running KDE4.4 now as well, but that should not have an effect.
This is very difficult to solve if I cannot reproduce.
