Just make it optional, Gilles.

Even the statement "You click/double click the thumbnail to get it opened as
preview" is incorrect as _that_ behaviour is optional as well. Both sides of
the argument have this feature as very important to them. I don't see a
compromise any better than the current SVN solution.
