Summary: Modifier keys with tag drag and drop
           Product: digikam
           Version: 1.7.0
          Platform: Unlisted Binaries
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: digikam-devel at kde.org
        ReportedBy: toddrme2178 at gmail.com

Version: 1.7.0 (using KDE 4.5.90)
OS: Linux

When you drag and drop tags on images, you get a menu with one or more options,
depending on the situation. This can include assigning the tag to the selected
items, assigning the tag to all items, or assigning the tag to the item you
dropped the tag on depending on the situation.

Dolphin, which has a similar drag-and-drop menu, has another feature that is
really helpful. If you hold down a modifier key, such as alt or ctrl, it will
bypass the menu and do one of the actions immediately. I think this would be
very helpful for digikam as well, and let people speed up their workflow
considerably.

Here is a proposed set of actions:

ctrl+drop: assign tag to this item
alt+drop: assign tag to selected items
ctrl+alt+drop: assign tag to all items

Thes shortcuts would be shown next to their respective entries in the menu.

Of course it would be possible to do an impossible task with this, like using
the shortcut for assigning tags to selected items when no item is selected, or
assign the tag to this item when you dropped on a blank space. In these cases
I am not sure whether it should fail silently, pop up a notification telling
you, or show the menu.

Reproducible: Always
