This appears to be the problem: Exiv2 is NOT reading the information and
Exivtool is reading all of the information on PNG format images. This appears
to be the same situation with exports from Cinepaint.

However it is also strange that DK is able to read the metadata in JPG and TIF
files written by these other programs.

Do you see this as a problem in DK or other program export formats?
