Yes, that .MOV doesn't crash digikam here either. Here is one that does:

Trying 1.2.0 isn't that useful; at this late stage, I doubt the Ubuntu
packagers are going to jump from 1.1.0 to 1.2.0 (just 2-3 weeks before
release).
