I am not seeing that problem here, digikam is displaying all photos for me. :-(

I see you are using a mixed KDE4 environment with packages from version 4:4.3.1-1 & 4:4.2.4-1:

Could I ask you to upgrade all your packages to the current unstable baseline 4:4.3.2,
logout and then try digikam again.
