After installing the OpenSuSE 11.2 RC1 with the included digikam application, I
tried to convert a CR2 file into DNG with the DNG-Converter. Did just use the
default settings. When the conversion told it finished, I had a look at the DNG
file: it does not show any preview picture (instead a dummy placeholder) and
when trying to get the full picture , a message tolds "preview cannot be
shown...". Also the attempt to edit the DNG file results in the message "Error
when loading the picture". But the metadata (EXIF, etc.) are displayed. When
looking to the file it does only have a size of 214 kBytes where the CR2 file
is 11 MBytes. 
The question is what is missing in my installation to get the picture
displayed?
