Summary: "New Album From Selection" should be renamed
Product: digikam
Version: unspecified
Platform: Debian testing
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: digikam-devel at kde.org
ReportedBy: mmenaz at mail.com
Version: (using KDE 4.3.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
I was trying digikam for the first time, and trying to make some order among
the mess of some pictures I've moved to a folder to test Digikam.
I was looking for a way to move the selected pics to an existing album
(folder), and found that "New Album From Selection" did what I was looking for,
but has a misleading description!
It suggests that it's action will be creating a new album, instead you are
moving the selected pictures to a new album, and you COULD possibly create a
new one (the left panel of the dialog says "Please select the destination album
for the digiKam library to MOVE the selected image into".
What about simply "Move to album..." or "Move selected to album..."
Craete a new album is not the primary action it does, fundamental action is
move pictures, optionally you can create a new album/folder
