Summary: rename dialog should not force to add numbers
           Product: digikam
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: SuSE RPMs
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: digikam-devel at kde.org
        ReportedBy: kuv02 at web.de

Version: DigiKam 0.9.3 (KDE 3.5.7, r72.11) (using KDE 4.3.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

I have a case where I bulk rename lots of pictures and were I do not want to
add numbers to the end of the filename. The image names are unique through the
usage of the image date inside the filename.

I request a checkbox in the bulkrename dialog where I can disable "append
Numbers".

A even more sophisticated version would be, to give an option "only append
numbers if new names are not unique".
