digikam 1.0.0-beta5, 64-bit:

Whenever I try to add a new collection (on my regular hard drive), I get the
error:
  It was not possible to add a collection for the following paths:
<path-to-directory-I'm-trying-to-add>

There don't seem to be any instructions about adding collections in the Help,
so maybe I'm not doing the right thing (Settings | Configure digikam |
Collections | Local collections | Add collection) , but I can't think of
anything else to try.

I have full permissions on the directory I'm trying to add.
